Culinary Uses for Okra

Used throughout the West Indies, India, Asia and South America this is used a lot in Cajun cooking and the key ingredient of Gumbo. Remove stalks before use and slice or cool whole until soft and tender.  Okra can be baked, grilled, microwaved, steamed, stewed or braised.
